Review:

It had been a minute since I read a book as steamy as Hat Trick. The attraction between Dart and Tennessee is electric and totally steams up the pages. They start as a one-night stand, which includes a funny wrong room situation. Quickly, it’s clear that neither are going to be able to get the other out of their minds. While life takes them in different directions, eventually fate brings them back together. And nothing, not Tennessee’s boyfriend, their jobs, or anything, is strong enough to put out the flame between them. While the intimate scenes are prevalent in this book, I really enjoy having a plus size heroine being worshipped by a hot hockey player. And worship Tennessee Dart does. Their relationship moves quickly and there is a part of me that wanted a little more time spent developing their emotional feelings for each other outside of the physical. However, I did really love how they supported each other when they got together. There’s something about this that reminds me of Toni Aleo’s early Assassins books in a way her more recent haven’t. Hat Trick reminded me why I feel in love with Toni Aleo’s writing in the first place!
