I knew that Asher was going to be break me. I made sure I reread Torn before I started Asher and Torn sets you up for the absolute heartbreak in Asher. Asher is the love story of Asher and Ember Valentine. They are a couple who have been together since their teens and who have a daughter. However, tragedy struck and Asher and Ember must rebuild their love from the beginning. This isn’t a second chance love story but rather one of discovery and the power of love and connection between two people. It broke my heart over and over again and by the end, it was a patchwork heart but one that was stronger than ever, just like Asher and Ember. I honestly went through an entire box of tissues while reading this book and cried from beginning to end. It was simply a beautiful love story.
