I’ve been a fan of Nana Malone’s Winston Isle saga for a while so I was extremely excited to see that Ariel was getting her own book. Ariel is hands-down, a badass. She was a Royal Guard and is now one of the King’s Knights as well as owning her own security firm. With her role as King’s Knight, she gets called in to protect someone from her past, Prince Tristan. What I really liked about this book was that Ariel was protecting Tristan and does a really good job of it. There are pitfalls in the way of their relationship, including their past but when this book ends, it looks like they are putting that aside. I’m on tether-hooks awaiting the next book!
