Feminists Take On the Romance Genre

On Monday, I kicked off BookCon week with an impromptu trip to the city! I decided to attend a panel discussion at The Strand Bookstore: Feminists Take On the Romance Genre. This panel featured Julia Quinn, Eloisa James, Maya Royale, and Sarah MacLean, all of whom I adore. I was lucky enough to get an awesome seat ( three rows behind Gloria Steinem!!) and was able to Live stream some of the discussion on my twitter and Facebook. Twitter Live Stream. Facebook Live . This was an informative and lively panel about romance and the role it plays in feminism. The main take away is romance is books by women for women that celebrate female sexuality and pleasure! What can be more feminist than that!
